Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Propel Fitness Water, from the makers of Gatorade, is a lightly flavored, non-carbonated water beverage with essential vitamins. It’s made especially for people who lead an active, healthy lifestyle and typically drink water. Propel is available in eight flavors—natural Kiwi-Strawberry, Peach, Lemon, Berry, Grape, Tropical Citrus, Black Cherry and Melon.

Berry
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 23.7 fl oz PET (700 ml)
BevNET Review:
Gatorade’s berry-flavored fitness water has a slight taste of strawberries but there’s something in the mix that is sour and off-putting. It’s hard to imagine that this is what Gatorade had in mind when they set out to create a line of waters that people would turn to as a way of staying hydrated during or after athletic events. There’s simply too much of a reliance on a too-sweet blend of sucrose syrup and sucralose, as well as citric acid, to make this taste like anything but an unexceptional, run-of-the-mill flavored water. While there’s 24 ounces of it in the bottle, buyers might not think that’s a great thing after a few swigs.

Melon
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 23.7 fl oz PET (700 ml)
BevNET Review:
In what might be the most insignificant trick of beverage evolution in recent years, Gatorade has indeed managed to take perfectly good water and flavor it with hints of cantaloupe and honeydew. While fresh melon can be a tasty treat, we believe that a melon-flavored water might be a bit weird for the majority of palates. This is some exceptionally sweet, tangy melon, to boot, and consequently doesn’t seem that thirst-quenching, particularly when the lingering taste of artificial sweeteners makes what had been an original taste into a largely synthetic experience. But the blue bottle is pretty cool, and it does hold a lot of water, and it is a different flavor, and one worth trying, if only to figure out whether melon is actually a big draw.

Peach
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 23.7 fl oz PET (700 ml)
BevNET Review:
Gatorade’s peach entry into the flavored water segment uses a very low-calorie, fairly tasty mix of sugars and artificial sweeteners to create a nice peach aroma and strong peach flavor that would likely be very welcome after a tennis match or long run. And that’s great, except for one thing: those same artificial sweeteners that make it so palatable make it a little too sweet and leave a pretty strong artificial aftertaste. We can easily see customers buying this, and then deciding to grab another 12-ounce, regular water to try to wash that aftertaste out of their systems. But besides that hitch, priced right (i.e. – like a mid-range bottled water), this could sell pretty well. The blue PET bottle looks appealing and pure – it holds 24 ounces of fluid, which should be enough to re-hydrate just about anyone after an athletic event – and the peach color on the label stands out nicely. Worth a try for those who are tired of drinking regular water after a workout.
