BevNET Review:
NOS Powershot is a non-carbonated energy drink that features 125mg of caffeine. As far as energy shots go, this one is quite palatable, with minimal burn compared to competing products. And with 125mg of caffeine, there's a nice amount of kick to it. Packaging is quite well done, with a nice adaptation of NOS' trademark blue and orange design. Plus, it doesn't hurt to be the offspring of a brand that's already been successful in the traditional energy drink category. Overall, NOS Powershot is instantly one of our favorite energy shots.

Fruit Punch

The latest addition to the NOS line is NOS Fruit Punch that packs a sweet fruit flavor with a nice dose of energy. The bright red can and liquid are appealing and refreshing and, at least in our opinion, an improvement over the original formula. It�s clean, crisp, and pops out at you, which, when combined with the edge of the NOS name, makes it stand out in this crowded field. Overall, a very nice addition to the NOS lineup that is certainly worth a try.

NOS High Performance Energy Drink (Bottle)

NOS in a plastic bottle is, in our opinion, much better than NOS in a can. Why? First, there is the taste, which is a sweet, energy laden formulation. It's really much cleaner flavor than many canned drinks that we've tried -- an obvious side effect from using plastic rather than aluminum as it lacks the tinny aftertaste found in so many products. In any event, this product is extremely drinkable from both a refreshment and functionality point of view. As for the packaging, NOS uses a bright orange and blue palette which makes the product feel like something that is straight from an auto parts shop (that's a good thing, by the way). Overall, we greatly prefer this version over its canned counterpart as it tastes and looks more original.

Can of Nitrous Oxide anyone? NOS High Performance Energy Drink isn't quite that but it certainly has the look and feel of Holley Performance's nitrous oxide canisters (used extensively in the automotive world for performance enhancement). This 16 oz drink has a pleasantly-tangy passionfruit flavor, which is a nice break from the Red Bull-style formulas so often used in energy drinks. The co-branding with the NOS brand of nitrous will definitely appeal to automotive buffs. And the obvious analogy of nitrous oxide is to cars as energy drinks are to humans is brilliant. We like this brand and expect it will have good success with the male auto-enthusiast demographic.
