Cranberry Lift
Category: Energy: Diet; Packaging: 12 fl oz
BevNET Review:
Ocean Spray's entry into the energy drink category drinks a lot like cranberry juice, which is really no surprise given this company's background. Really though, this product isn't that far from what you normally see in an Ocean Spray beverage. There's cranberry and grape juices, sweetened with splenda and enhanced with green tea and B vitamins for "natural energy." The resulting combination is tart and mildly sweet, with a bitter finish that's part artificial sweetener and part green tea. It's not a bad taste, but it's hard to see this as being credible beyond the juice aisle. Furthermore, we think that Ocean Spray has been a bit too conservative with the appearance, failing to differentiate it from their other products.

Raspberry Cranberry Lift
Category: Energy: Diet; Packaging: 12 fl oz
BevNET Review:
The raspberry flavored variety of Cranergy builds on its counterpart, Cranberry Lift, adding, as you might have guessed, raspberry juice to the mix. This addition has a positive impact on the flavor, adding extra depth to the front end and helping to minimize the aftertaste that we cited in the Cranberry Lift review. Packaging also seems more attractive, which is the result of a brighter green colored label and a smaller font size that is used for the subtext on the label. However, it still feels a bit too much like a traditional juice product, especially since the "energy" is derived solely from green tea and vitamins.
